Fransaskois Flag for Saskatchewan, Canada
The Fransaskois flag was officially adopted by the province in 2005, recognizing French as being one of Canada’s official languages and for the heritage and contributions of the francophone community to Saskatchewan.
The background symbolizes the southern grain field area and the green cross represents the northern forested area; same as the official provincial flag of Saskatchewan. The red fleur-de-lis is representative of the Western red lily which is the official flower of Saskatchewan.
